Elksong Jewelry is the collaborative efforts of wife & husband team, Cherie & Scott Somerville. They live & create in the rocky, high desert country of extreme southeastern Arizona, near the Mexican border, in their off-grid, hand-built home/studio.

Their style tends to gear toward a very organic, natural, colorful sort of neo-ancient, gypsy/ethnic look, with a touch of sentimental Victorian gothic. Scott does most of the metal-smithing and the lapidary work, Cherie does wirework and woven beadwork and the over-all jewelry design.  They make most of their own findings (earwires, clasps, mounting pins, etc.) so their jewelry pieces can be as truly "handmade" as possible! Their materials emphasis is on natural gemstones, ethnic metals, contemporary & vintage glass, freshwater pearls, found "bits", re-purposed hardware and filigree.
