Adventurer, Aviator and Author, Charles Feil has always believed that if you follow your passions the rest will fall into place. He has traveled five continents with his camera on his shoulder and a sense of adventure in his soul. Jane Goodall sought him out to make wildlife films on the Serengeti Plains of East Africa. Major publications and corporations appreciated his easy going ways and ability to bring to the table dazzling photography. Being restless and never completely satisfied Chuck, kicked it up a notch by learning to fly and integrate it with his photography skills. He both flies his Gyrocopter, Rooty Kazooty while simultaneously photographing the landscape below. The first Gyroplane pilot to fly all 48 States without ground support! His Spirit of American Youth Tour in 2000 documented these one of a kind adventures www.say2000.org

Chuck’s publishing company VFA Publishing has created 11 coffee table books of aerial images from Maine to California and a few places in between. His photography is included in both private and public collections, most recently the University of New England permanent photography collection. Exhibited in numerous galleries and museums on both coasts www.viewsfromabove.com

PanTerra gallery is his vision of sharing the artistic talents of those who he has come to know and respect. His works on display are images he has selected from both his aerial and ground base photography. His artistic tools are a 35mm camera using both film and digital media and printed as Giclees.

For me photography is about an adventure with my senses, “seeing beyond seeing” going into the seed of that gift with an openness and sense of mystery. When the moment appears I am ready with the camera as the extension of that consciousness to capture and share what the eye has just experienced.
