Kim Terpening's world has been infused with art since birth. Her father supported her family of five on his work as a free-lance painter from his home-based art studio. Her childhood home was filled with bold paintings, colorful people and the smell of oil paints.
Over the last 30 years Kim has pursued three dimensional art and has worked in fiber sculpture and the creation of art books. She has received recognition in state-wide juried exhibitions for her fiber/sculpture work and her art has been collected throughout the US and Canada.
Recently, Kim's attention has been drawn to digital photography. Her extensive background in art has been a natural segue into this new medium and she can be found capturing images from Alaska to Mexico to Europe. She does her own in-studio printing of her images with state of the art ink-jet technology.
Kim Terpening splits her time between Bisbee, Arizona and Homer, Alaska.
